Privacy
In short: Still Point works on your phone without an account or an internet connection. Camera images are never stored or uploaded. If you choose to create an account, we keep your name, email address, optional photo and the matches you choose to back up, and you can export or delete all of it from the app at any time. There are no ads, analytics or trackers.
On your phone
Matches, practice sessions, players, tournaments and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. Averages, the Order of Merit, careers and personal bests are calculated from them on your phone; nothing is sent anywhere for that. They stay there unless you turn on backup in an account. Uninstalling the app removes them.
Camera. When you score with the camera, frames are analysed in memory on your phone to find the board and the darts, then discarded. No photo or video is recorded or saved, and none is sent anywhere except the live preview to a phone you paired yourself (see below). Only the positions of the darts on the board are kept with the match.
Between your own devices
Companion phone. When you pair a second phone, the two phones talk directly over your local network with an encrypted connection set up during pairing. The live camera preview sent to the paired phone is shown and discarded, never stored. Unpairing ends it.
Board phones (venue mode). When one phone runs a tournament as the desk, board phones join it over your local network with the code shown on the desk. The connection is encrypted with a key that is part of that code. The desk sends each board its match; the board sends back live scores and the finished match with its statistics, and keeps a finished match until the desk confirms it. Leaving the venue on a board ends it.
Big screen. When you start the big screen, your phone serves a read-only page on your local network. It shows player names, scores, match calls, tournament results and the Order of Merit (names, points and titles) to any device that opens its address. The address contains a random code that changes every time you start it, but the connection is not encrypted, so only use it on a network you trust. Stop it from the app when you are done.
If you create an account
An account is optional. It lets you back up the matches you choose and approve a match you played on someone else's phone so it counts for you.
- What we keep: your email address, a display name, an optional profile photo, the matches you choose to back up, and the match approvals you give or receive. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by the sign-in service.
- Sign in with Google: Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us when you choose it. We use them to create your account and your player on your phone. We do not receive your Google password or access any other Google data.
- Email: we send account emails only (confirming your address, resetting your password, telling you when your password or email changed). They are delivered through Resend, our email delivery provider.
- Sharing a match: when you approve a match from someone else's phone, your display name and photo are shared with that phone for that match only. You can revoke an approval in the app.
We use this information only to provide these features. We do not sell it, show you ads or share it for marketing.
Your choices
- Export: download everything your account holds from Account in the app.
- Delete: Delete account in the app permanently removes your profile, photo, backups and approvals. Matches on your phone stay unless you uninstall the app.
- Sign out: your player and matches stay on your phone; nothing more is backed up.
- Backup file: Settings › Your data saves your matches, tournaments and players to a file wherever you choose, and restores one. The file is not encrypted; keep it like any other personal file.
- Sharing: when you share results or the Order of Merit, the text goes to the app you pick in Android's share sheet, and nowhere else.

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies: no analytics, fonts or trackers. The host of the site may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time.
Children
Still Point is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. Playing without an account involves no personal data leaving the phone.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and important changes are shown in the app. For questions or requests about your data, contact the developer through the contact details on Still Point's Google Play listing.
