Guide
Camera scoring
- Placement. Put the phone to one side of the board at about the height of the bull, angled toward it, so the board looks like an oval. A phone stand or a shelf works; it must not move during play.
- Framing. In Camera setup the whole double ring should be inside the picture. Use zoom if the board is small. The status turns to “Board found” when the outline follows the double ring.
- Light. Even light on the board helps; avoid strong light from behind the board into the lens.
- Corrections. Tap a dart to change it. Undo and redo are always available. The keypad (“Score by hand”) works at any time.
A second phone
An old phone makes a great camera. On the main phone choose Use companion device in Camera setup; on the second phone tap Companion on Home and scan the code (or accept the request). Then pick which phone films the board. The phones stay paired, also after restarting, until you unpair them. Both need the same Wi-Fi or one phone's hotspot.
Tournaments
- Formats. Knockout (seeded, byes go to the top seeds), Double elimination (lose once and you play on in the losers bracket; the grand final can be reset), League (everyone plays everyone, once or home and away) and Groups then knockout (the best of each group go through; group winners meet runners-up of other groups first).
- Matches. X01: choose 301, 501 or 701, legs and sets, double out; a longer final and semi-finals are one setting, a third-place match another. Cricket or cricket without points: one game per match.
- Playing. Up next lists the matches that can start, highlighted for the boards you have. Tap one to play it with the camera, by hand, or to enter a result played elsewhere. Matches played in the app add averages, 180s, checkouts and best legs to the Leaders tab (marks per round for cricket).
- Corrections. Correct or clear any result. If a different player wins, later results that depended on it stop counting and those matches are ready to play again; nothing is silently thrown away.
- Tables. Two points per win; ties are broken by leg difference, legs won, the match between the tied players, average and finally seed.
- Withdrawals. A player who has to leave can be withdrawn; they concede the matches they have not played yet.
- Places and the Order of Merit. A finished tournament lists everyone's place; players knocked out in the same round share it. Places earn points (10 for a title, 7 runner-up, 5 third, 4 fourth, 3 for the last eight, 2 for the last sixteen, 1 for playing) that add up in the Order of Merit on the Tournaments page, all time, this year or the last 90 days.
- Run it again. A finished tournament starts its next edition with the same rules and players, seeded by where everyone finished.
Venue mode: a phone at every board
- The desk. In a tournament open Boards and show the venue code. The desk sends every board its next match by itself (or turn that off and send them one by one), calls each match out loud, and records each result with its statistics.
- The boards. On each board's phone choose Tournaments › Join as a board, pick its number and scan the code. The board shows its next match; play it with the camera or by hand, and the result goes back to the desk.
- Changes of plan. Take a match back from a board from its sheet on the desk. If the Wi-Fi drops, boards reconnect by themselves and a finished result waits on the board until the desk has it.
Big screen
- Tap the TV icon on the live board or in a tournament, then Start big screen.
- On the TV, projector laptop or tablet, open the browser and type the address shown (for example
192.168.1.23:8217/s/k3m9qz7), or scan the QR code. - The screen follows along: the match while one is played, with a card for each leg won; otherwise the tournament, with a full-screen call whenever a match goes to a board. After a tournament it shows the champion and final places and alternates the bracket with the Order of Merit; with nothing open it shows the Order of Merit. A display connected to the phone shows it by itself.
Nothing appears? The TV and the phone must be on the same network. Guest Wi-Fi often keeps devices apart; use the main network, or turn on the phone's hotspot and connect the TV to it. Very old TV browsers that cannot keep a live connection check for news every second instead; that is expected.
After a match
The result opens on the scoreline and a stat sheet that sets the players side by side: 3-dart average, first 9, checkout rate, high out, best leg, best visit, 180s, 140+, 100+ and 60+, the better value of each in green. Below it, every leg: who took it, in how many darts and with what checkout. Report opens the same match with each player's visits, a dart map and finishing.
Progress and players
- Progress. Pick a player and a game. You get the average and its trend, first 9, checkout rate, wins, best leg, high out and 180s, form, how your visits fall into scoring bands, and personal bests that open the match they came from. With everyone selected, each person keeps their own numbers; they are never blended.
- Player pages. A saved player's page shows their career: average, best match, best leg, high out, 180s, recent form, their record against the people they play most, and the tournaments they won or finished on the podium.
- Home. When the phone knows who you are, the Progress tile shows your average and your last five results.
Practice
Around the Clock, Checkout practice, the Scoring trainer, Grouping on treble 20 and the Bull challenge each have their own result. After a session you see how it compares with your earlier ones: a personal best, or your best and average before.
